The identity of Aviator House begins with the building itself. Designed by architect Vlastimil Koubek in 1971, the property originally served as the headquarters of the Air Line Pilots Association and became a distinctive example of the era's architecture in Dupont Circle.

Its next chapter preserves that history while moving the building forward. Iconic elements of the original facade and design have been retained as the former office building has been transformed into contemporary residences. The result brings together architectural legacy, aviation-inspired character, modern design, and a more sustainable approach to giving an existing Washington landmark new life.
