The European Union and its Member States in Paraguay present the 17th edition of the European Film Cycle in Asunción, bringing a selection of European cinema to audiences from August 19 through September 4.

The festival features comedies, dramas, and stories from across Europe, offering audiences an opportunity to discover the diversity of contemporary European filmmaking. Screenings take place at Cine Villamorra, the Instituto Cultural Paraguayo-Alemán, and the Centro Cultural de España en Asunción.

The festival opens on August 19 at Cine Villamorra with the Irish comedy Four Mothers. Films are screened with Spanish subtitles, with one family-oriented selection presented dubbed in Spanish.

All screenings are free and open to the public, with admission available until each venue reaches capacity.
