The Consulate General and Promotion Center of Argentina in New York presents The Movement of Matter, an exhibition bringing together the work of Argentine visual artists Sonia Braun, Laura Manuel, and Cecilia Nigro, presented by Vicky Alianelli.

The exhibition explores the relationship between matter, time, and memory. Working with materials including water, stone, sand, pigment, and clay, the three artists examine how physical materials change while retaining traces of what they once were.

Each artist approaches this idea through a distinct visual language. Ceramics undulate and preserve the imprint of movement, brushstrokes shift and transform across surfaces, and photography alters the viewer's perception. Together, the works create a dialogue between transformation and permanence.

The Movement of Matter brings together three perspectives on the tension between what changes and what persists, considering the impermanence of physical matter and its ability to preserve the memory of an experience.
