"Lift Lady" follows Mzia—an elevator operator and former sniper—whose quiet, cyclical routine in Tbilisi's brutalist elevator tower is reshaped by a small but profound event. The story delicately explores themes of resilience, memory, and the remnants of a turbulent past.

Directed by Marcin Modzelewski, this Polish short (2024) has its North American premiere at DC/DOX as part of the "Or Forever Hold Your Peace" shorts program.
