The Asian Development Bank's (ADB's) North American Representative Office cordially invites you to a conversation with George Rublee, ADB's Head of Corporate Recovery, on what it means to be a banker doing private sector transactions at a development finance institution. 

George will discuss the concept of "additionality", and highlight the challenges of following sound banking principles while pursuing developmental impact, in the context of restructuring and working out impaired transactions.

George Rublee is Head of Corporate Recovery in ADB's Office of Risk Management. He leads the Corporate Recovery Team, which seeks to recover ADB's investments in impaired private sector debt and equity transactions. He has over 30 years of experience in international corporate and institutional banking, including 25 years in project finance, Rublee has run award-winning telecoms teams at UBS in Zurich and WestLB in London covering Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.  Additionally, he has worked in venture capital and private equity in the U.S., and has served on boards of private companies.
