This biopic tells the true story of Polish athlete Jerzy Górski (Jakub Giersza). Górski battles addiction and endures strenuous training to find success in the 1990 World Triathlon Championships Double Ironman competition. The film is a faithful depiction of Górski’s life, chronicling the hardships as well as the triumphs, and reminding us that most times you can’t have one without the other. 

Featuring an all-star Polish cast, director Lukasz Palkowski sheds light on life in socialist Poland during the seventies and eighties and tells the story of a man who pulled his life back together with the support of those close to him and becomes a record-breaking athlete.
