Celebrate 100 years of Czech Independence and discover Czech-US connections across America! 

On Saturday, May 12, from 10am to 4pm, the Czech Embassy will open its doors to the public with a festive atmosphere, including a live band, adorable children performing traditional songs in folk costumes, a fun bounce house and face painting, and thrilling police K-9 demonstrations of Czech bred dogs. Enjoy the original golden lager, Pilsner Urquell, and hearty food while getting the first hand run down of the Czech centennial story from political diplomats. Explore the latest showcased Czech technology, including urban smart benches and legendary tractors. The Czech Embassy’s open house is a part of the EU Open House, an annual event during which the Delegation of the European Union to the United States and the Embassies of 28 EU Member States to the United States offer a rare look inside their Embassies and provide a unique opportunity to experience each country’s cultural heritage and national traditions.
