CONCERT AND READING | "ABOUT BRAHMS – DON'T ASK SO STUPID"

The ACFDC is very pleased to present cellist Friedrich Kleinhapl and pianist Andreas Woyke with the literary musical project “About Brahms – Don’t ask so stupid” written by Maya Hagn–Kleinhapl.

As if Brahms would awake back to life! So intimate, so personal and far from any cliché is the story of Johannes Brahms and his housekeeper Mrs. Truxa, which partly tells humorous and partly serious things out of his life. Through his music one ultimately immerses into this fascinating universe.

The cellist Friedrich Kleinhapl gives concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in European metropolis, as well as in the USA, Canada, South America and many more countries. The pianist Andreas Woyke also fills halls around the world. Some of the important venues in which he can be heard, are amongst others Musikverein and Konzerthaus Wien, Townhall New York, Kennedy Center Washington D.C. and Sala Sao Paulo. Since 2003 the two musicians teamed up for common projects.

We are also pleased to welcome Kathryn Browning and Chris A. Wargo who are going to read the dialogue between Johannes Brahms and his housekeeper Mrs. Truxa.
