Join us for the opening of Beneath the Surface, a new joint exhibition featuring Sui Park and D.C.-based Nara Park, two remarkable women artists whose deceptively life-like organic and physical installations bend our perceptions of nature, reality, and human beings' place in an increasingly superficial world.

Both artists share the use of cheap, disposable materials to create new natural forms, to infuse the appearance of life, and to overcome existing values. This exhibition strives to present visitors with an opportunity to reflect on life and death, creation and dissolution, and on nature and humanity-all of which are important and present in our lives, but are often overlooked.

The opening reception event with talks by the artists on Friday, November 3 at 6:00 p.m. is free and open to the public, but registration is required (below). Beneath the Surface  remains on view through Nov. 30, 2017
