Join us for the opening of Invisible Things, a new exhibition of painting, installation, and sculpture works by Korean artists Gyeongja Lee and Hyemin Lee that explore the powerful inner thoughts, emotions, and memories that occupy our everyday lives. The opening event includes in-person artist talks a reception (RSVP required below); on view June 9 through 30. 

Taking a cue from the great impressionists, Gyeongja Lee and Hyemin Lee apply the principles of light, motion, and the purity of one's personal recollection, rather than visual accuracy, across distinct artistic media. Geometric landscapes and a mosaic of cloth pillows both contrast and compliment as they evoke hazy memories, pleasant and painful. Such trivial recollections are all too easy to overlook, but Gyeongja Lee and Hyemin Lee remind audiences of the value of these everyday sentiments that define our invisible, inner lives.
