The Embassy of Israel and the Office of the Military Attache, invites you to participate in a ceremony in Remembrance of Israel's Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terror, attended by the Ambassador of Israel to the U.S., Ron Dermer, and the Military Attache, Major General Micky Edelstein.

D.C.'s Chiarina Chamber Players end their season with Intimacy and Brilliance, featuring Dvorak's exuberant Piano Quintet paired with Rebecca Clarke's beautiful Sonata for Viola and Piano. Founding members, Israeli pianist, Efi Hackmey and Carrie Bean Stute assemble violinists Domenic Salerni and Derek Powell, as well as viola player Arthur Dibble for this charming spring chamber music performance.

Alon Goldstein & Fine Arts Quartet

Israeli pianist Alon Goldstein's artistic vision and inovative programming have made him a favorite with audiences and critics alike. This program features rarely heard chamber arrangements by the 19th century German composer and conductor Ignaz Lachner of two of Mozart's most magnificent piano concertos.

A Heartbeat Away

A documentary about Dr. Akiva Tamir, Israeli pediatric cardiologist, and his team who travel to Tanzania to examine hundreds of children, of whom only a handful can receive the life-saving treatment. When six year old Julius arrives at the clinic in critical condition, Dr. Tamir must decide whether to operate on the child, who has very little chance of surviving. This is a riveting portrayal of desperate families and the doctors who make life and death decisions.

Ohad Naharin, artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company created the daring form of dance and “movement language” gaga. Even after achieving worldwide acclaim, Naharin continues to fight every day, sometimes with his own dancers, once even with the president of Israel, to make his vision come to life.

Sharon Dar was born in Kfar Saba, Israel in 1973. She currently lives and works in Rockville, MD. Dar is an emerging artist, who works with acrylics on large scale canvases with bold colors mixed in an abstract-cubic manner.
