The Embassy of the Czech Republic invites you to the concert of the Virginia-based Garth Newel Piano Quartet, featuring Teresa Ling (violin), Evelyn Grau (viola), Isaac Melamed (cello), and Jeanette Fang (piano), performing the beautiful music of Czech composers Josef Suk and Antonín Dvořák, on March 29, 2017, at 6:30 pm.

The program includes: 
Josef Suk - Piano Quartet in A Minor, Op. 1 
Antonín Dvořák - Songs My Mother Taught Me, for tenor and piano quartet, singer: Shawn I. Puller
Antonín Dvořák - Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 87

About the Quartet: 
The Garth Newel Piano Quartet is known for spirited and impassioned performances that offer an enlivened interpretation of both standard and new repertoire. As artists-in-residence and artistic directors at Garth Newel Music Center ‒ one of the most active chamber music organizations in the United States ‒ they program and perform over 50 concerts each year, engaging with audiences through conversational and interactive programs. As international ambassadors of music, they have toured and given masterclasses throughout Turkey, Guatemala, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa, Croatia, Spain, and France and at prominent national venues such as Carnegie Hall, Strathmore Hall, Corcoran Gallery, and the Chautauqua Institution.

Embassy Policy:
 No bags or suitcases allowed. Only small purses permitted but will be checked at the door. You must pass through security for entrance. RSVP confirmation and photo ID required. Please note, doors open at 6:00 pm. The event starts promptly at 6:30 pm, and doors close at 6:45 pm. After that time, we will not be admitting any other guests.
