The Ambassador of Peru, His Excellency Carlos Pareja, and his wife, Mrs. Consuelo Salinas Pareja, kindly request the pleasure of your company at the Residence of the Ambassador for an evening of Peruvian art and music benefiting the museum and publicizing its collection.

This event will be held on Thursday, March 9th between 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Residence of the Ambassador of Peru (address to be confirmed upon registration). The event, featuring performances by pianist Zsolt Balogh and Baritone José Sacín, is sponsored by the Friends of the Art Museum of the Americas. Cocktails and Light Fare will be served.

Making AMA’s Collection Public will further study, rethink, re-contextualize and publicize the artistic, cultural and scholarly significance of the AMA’s permanent art collection. The bilingual (English & Spanish) printed book and online catalog will feature 100 Latino and Latin American artworks in AMA’s permanent collection. It will allow AMA’s public and website visitors to access, understand, enjoy, and use AMA’s collection as never before. 

AMA’s wonderful collection, one of the first ever of its type assembled in the United States since 1957, has been continually supported by one of the oldest archives of modern and contemporary Latin American and Caribbean art, formally created in the late 1930s.
