Kids Euro Festival 2016: October 26 - November 6, 2016

There are 28 countries in the European Union with so many interesting cultures. Are you ready to broaden your horizons on European culture? Are you ready to experience culture through arts? Are you ready to experience Europe in the nation's capital? Come and enjoy the Kids Euro Festival – full of great events ranging from dance to sports, and from animation to theatre. The October 26 to November 6 festival is a fantastic way for the kids to learn about different cultures, for free! 


Austria's Contribution | Film Screening: Brothers of the Wind
November 3, 2016 | 10:00 am & 2:00 pm



As part of the European Union, the ACFDC also participates at the festival and invites you for the screening of the film “Brothers of the Wind”. The movie is a powerful tale of hope and discovery starring Jean Reno, Manuel Camacho and Tobias Moretti. A legacy epic and a new frontier in wild drama.

Festival Film | Neu: November 3 - 6, 2016

The festival Film | Neu is Washingtons leading German-language film event which presents the newest trends and movies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This year for the first time, the category New Short Films shows awarded, new short films from the three German-speaking countries.

Austria's Contribution | New Short Films & Film Screening: Chucks
November 5, 2016 | 2:00 pm (New Short Films) & 8:45 pm (Chucks)


The ACFDC contributes with a selection of diverse short movies in the category New Short Films. These include the films "Domino" (Anna Vasof), "Babash" (Lisa Truttmann and Behrouz Rae), "Triste Déserts -  A Robot's Tale" (Stephanie Winter) and "Uncanny Valley" (Paul Wenninger). In addition to the new short films, the film "Chucks" is screened. The movie is based on the successful novel by Cornelia Travnicek and takes place on the streets of Vienna.

A reception with Austrian treats takes place at Landmark’s E Street Cinema before the 8:45 pm screening of "Chucks".
