Celebrate the start of the NBA season by practicing with the pros! Join Poland’s NBA star Marcin Gortat for a unique opportunity to “polish” your basketball skills. In addition to being the Washington Wizards’ starting center, Marcin Gortat is also a fantastic teacher – each year his MG13 Foundation organizes basketball camps for children all across Poland. For the first time ever Marcin and the MG13 Foundation will host a basketball practice for children in Washington, D.C. So pack your lucky basketball shorts and join us for a fun, active day!

This event is open to boys and girls age 9-13. Practice will not only include basketball workshops prepared by the staff of the MG13 Foundation, but also an opportunity to meet Marcin Gortat and learn about his native Poland. Marcin will also give tips on leading a healthy lifestyle and share advice on the importance of setting goals and working to achieve them. Come prepared to run, laugh, learn, be inspired and have fun!

A native of Łódź, Poland, Marcin Gortat has been the Washington Wizards center since 2013. This will be his 10th NBA season.
