The 38th Young Concert Artists Series presents, with the support of the Cultural services of the French Embassy, French pianist Rémi Geniet for his Washington, DC debut.

He is the youngest prize-winner of the Bonn International Beethoven Competition and was awarded the second prize at the Queen Elisabeth 2013 International Piano Competition at the age of twenty, the First Prize at the 2011 Prix du Piano Interlaken Classics in Bern, Switzerland, and the Interpretation Prize at the 2010 International Horowitz Competition in Kiev, Ukraine. In 2015, he won the First Prize in the Young Concert Artists International Auditions.

Rémi Geniet studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Brigitte Engerer and at the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in the class of Rena Shereshevskaya. His debut all-Bach CD, released in February 2015, has been praised by critics and was awarded the prestigious Diapason D’Or.
