Assassination (암살)

As Korea endures occupation by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1933, underground resistance fighters plan a daring strike against the occupying forces' ruthless commander and collaborators. Beautiful and deadly sniper Ahn Ok-yun (Gianna Jun) is called in for the assignment, only to become the target of contract killer Hawaii Pistol (Ha Jung-woo). With a traitor selling them out and the enemy closing in, the two must join forces in hopes of completing one last mission for their country.

Director Choi Dong-hoon followed up his 2012 megahit The Thieves with another box office juggernaut, Assassination (2015). It won a slew of accolades, including best film at both the PaekSang Arts Awards and Blue Dragon Film Awards, as well as best actress for Gianna Jun at the Daejong Film Awards.

In Korean with English subtitles, 139 minutes.
