The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum, with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, present exhibitionStories of Migration: Contemporary Artists Interpret Diaspora.

Forty-four artists share personal and universal stories, inspired by historic events that spread communities across continents as well as today’s migrants and refugees adapting to a new homeland.

As part of the exhibition, French artist William Adjété Wilson will present his work The Black Ocean (L’Océan Noir), retracing the links between the African continent and the creation of the modern world.
