The Embassy of the Czech Republic presents director Martin Frič's classic film Christian(Kristian) as part of the ongoing film and beer series on February 16, at 7 pm.

Czech actor Oldrich Nový plays the mysterious Mr. Kristian in Martin Frič’s romantic comedy of the same name.  The elusive Mr. Kristian stops by the posh Orient Club once a month, tipping waiters handsomely and charming beautiful women with a dance and a song. He is called an Ambassador, a Count, a Rector, but who truly is this man? One evening while at the club, he spots the gorgeous Zuzana Rendlová (Adina Mandlová). Overhearing a conversation with her fiancé Fred, Mr. Kristian decides to bring a bit of spice to her life. When she turns on the heat, he may find himself in boiling water. Will Zuzana discover the man who brings a bit of fantasy to her every day life?
