Come Celebrate the Five-Year-Anniversary of the German-American Heritage Museum of the USA™ with us on Saturday, March 21st!

On March 19th, 2010, our founders' long-held dream to have a presence in the nation's capital became reality: The German-American Heritage Foundation of the USA opened its headquarters and museum at 719 Sixth Street NW in Washington, DC.

Stop by for fun and games as well as for free doughnuts and coffee and celebrate with us on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM!    

In anticipation for our upcoming exhibit "100 Years of Hollywood and the Influence of German Immigrants", and to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Universal Studios in Hollywood by German-American Carl Laemmle on March 15, 1915, we invite you to watch the special documentary about his life by Kai Christiansen.  

In addition to our scavenger hunt for kids and a wheel of fortune, we will also have two raffle drawings for the chance to win books, gift cards, and more as well as the Grand Prize, a weekend-getaway incl. airfare to LA! 

Open House Schedule: 
12:30 PM - Welcome by Executive Director Petra Schuermann 
1:00 PM   - 1st Screening of "100 Years of Hollywood" (52 min) 
2:30 PM   - 1st Raffle Drawing 

3:00 PM   - Anniversary Raffle Drawing for the Grand Prize 

4:00 PM   - 2nd Screening of "100 Years of Hollywood (52min) 

6:00 PM   - Museum closes 

Festive opening on March 19, 2010 with (f.r.t.l.) Ambassador Klaus Scharioth, Senator Richard Lugar, and GAHF President Emeritus Bern Deichmann.
