Lecture -- Othmar Karas

The Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Affairs in cooperation with the Embassy of Austria presents a lecture by the Austrian politician Othmar Karas, who is Vice President of the European People´s Party (EPP) and Austrian delegate to the European Parliament. Furthermore he acts as EPP coordinator of the Special Committee on the Financial Economic and Social Crisis of the European Parliament. Mr. Karas will give insights into the work of the Special Committee and present its conclusions and recommendations for preventing future crisis. He is married to Dr. Christa Waldheim-Karas, daughter of Elisabeth Waldheim and former President of Austria Kurt-Waldheim. A wine and cheese reception will follow.
