Christian Prosl, the Ambassador of Austria to the United States and Mrs. Patricia Prosl- Hurni, in cooperation with the American-Austrian Cultural Society present an evening filled with live music and short stories. Mr. Prosl will read short stories, written by the Ambassador himself and piano solos played by young artists; Franklin Sun (11), Philip Wang (11), Annie Bao (12), and Cynthia Liu (14) will provide a nice atmosphere for an evening that is dedicated to a good cause. The proceeds of the charity will support the studies of six Tibetan refugee students living in New Delhi, India. The students who we are sponsoring this evening; Lhamo Choeki , Jigme Wangchen, Pema Donka, Tenzin Jigme, Tenzin Dawoe, and Norbu Rigzin fled their homes in Tibet for different reasons, but for the common goal of trying to achieve a better life for themselves in neighboring India. After reading their short biographies, it is clear that they need our financial support to continue their studies. Some of these students are orphans, with no one to turn to for guidance, and some have families, but due to various distressing circumstances are unable to provide an education for their children. One student has no recollection of his childhood because he was separated from his parents as they were trying to flee Tibet. The humbling stories of these young adults show how giving an education is the best gift of all. We hope you will join us for this special charity event, and donate the amount you feel comfortable with, to these Tibetan students.

Please issue your check to American-Austrian Cultural Society Tibetan Students. We would also like to thank everyone who is in attendance with a small gift.

In case you cannot make this event, but wish to financially support the charity project you will also be eligible to receive our gift as well as a receipt for your tax deductible donation.

A reception will follow the program. Tickets: http://www.instantseats.com/events/AACS
Tickets are also available at the door, but prior reservation by April 6 is required via email: american_austrian_society@yahoo.com or call Gerda Merwald: (703) 354 0796
