At Guidepost, our mission is to support and foster independence within every child. 

The Montessori approach to human development is based on the belief in the limitless potential of the child, and the understanding that it is only the child who can realize that potential. Growing up well is about becoming increasingly independent, capable, confident, and able to meet one’s own needs. It's about being able to form one’s own values and author one’s own life. Our job as caretakers is to understand and nurture this process as it unfolds for children in our care, and to support the child in blazing his or her own trail.
